Osmo Uviwax UV-Protection

Clear or transparent, satin, water-based wood finish with a wax-like character for interior use. Osmo Uviwax guards the lignin in the wood against harmful UV radiation. The natural yellowing of wood is greatly reduced, and the natural, lightly colored wood tone is preserved for a longer time.
It is stain-resistant, water-repellent and abrasion-resistant and suitable for all lightly colored wood species.

Tips:

  • Recommended application: 65ml/m² per coat.
  • Wood surface must be untreated for the first application of Uviwax.
  • Dried 1st coat can be smoothened with fine grain sandpaper P400/ Pad.
  • Recommended final sanding: flooring (P120-150) & furniture (P180-240).
  • Uviwax is unsuitable for flooring. To avoid the yellowing appearance for flooring, use a medium-dark color tone from Osmo Wood Wax Finish.
  • For exotic hardwoods Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin recommended.
  • Uviwax UV-Protection is to be used alone. Please do not dilute or mix with other finishes.
  • If a surface treated with Uviwax should be re-coated in a different color, solely using Osmo Interior Wax is recommended.
