Osmo Paint Stripper
A powerful, universal paint stripper which effectively dissolves and removes a wide range of lacquers, paints, varnishes, oil finishes, wood stains, glues and plaster formulations. Its low odour makes it ideal for use on interior and exterior surfaces. Thanks to its long open time, it can dissolve several layers of lacquer or varnish in one work step. The paint stripper gel is free of aromatic compounds and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Osmo Paint Stripper is ideal for dissolving and removing synthetic resin lacquers, 1-component lacquers, dispersion and latex paints, oil finishes and wood stains, dispersion glues, polymer plasters etc. on solvent-resistant substrates (wood, metal, mineral substrates, such as render, concrete or stone). It has a mild odour and therefore it can be used on large areas in both indoor and outdoor areas.
How to Apply Paint Stripper
- 1. Using a suitable brush or trowel, apply a liberal coat of Osmo Paint Stripper.
- 2. Cover straight away using a thin foil or polythene dust sheet. Reaction time will vary between a few minutes, a few hours to even overnight, dependent on the coating being removed and the number of layers being removed.
- 3. Check the stripping performance occasionally, by lifting an edge with a trowel. Once all layers have been permeated with the gel, remove the foil or polythene dust sheet.
- 4. Using a trowel, remove the soft, dissolved layer and rinse the treated area with warm water.
- Note: Osmo Paint Stripper must not be left on the surface for longer than is necessary. A repeat application may be required with some surfaces.
