Osmo Wood Protector

Clear, microporous & extremely water repellent wood impregnation based on natural oils and waxes without biocides or preservatives ideal for high moisture environments.
It is suitable for all timber in indoor areas, especially wooden flooring made from wood species susceptible to blue stain (e.g. Pine), window frames and wood in baths, and for wood in outdoor areas, for which an absolutely ecological, biocide-free impregnation is desired, for example playground equipment and sandboxes.

Tips:

  • Recommended application: 120ml/m² per coat.
  • Can be applied with Osmo Flat Brush, Osmo Microfibre Roller or by dipping. For dipping process, approx. 2 minutes dipping time & 36 Hrs drying time in well ventilated area is recomended.
  • Ideal base coat for Osmo Polyx®-Oils for use in bathrooms, kitchens and even swimming pool environments and saunas!
  • Wood Protector is a primer only and requires a finishing product such as Osmo TopOil for worktops or Osmo Polyx®-Oil for flooring, furniture and joinery in bathrooms or kitchens.
  • Final top coat must be carried out within one week.
  • First application of Wood Protector must be applied onto untreated or evenly sanded surfaces.
  • Wood Protector is clear and therefore will darken the natural character of the wood, please test a small area prior to application.
  • If possible, although not essential; apply to all sides of the wood to give the strongest protection. Wipe excess from edges with a dry cloth before leaving to dry.
