Osmo Wood Wax Finish

Transparent or intensive colored wood finish that uniquely combines the advantages of natural oils and waxes in one product. In comparison to conventional finishes, the use of plant ingredients creates a more even color and more harmonious appearance.
Wood Wax Finish is suitable for the protection and the decorative finishing of wood in indoor areas: wall panelling, mouldings and beams as well as doors. It is also suitable for edge-glued panels, chipboard and MDF. Ideal as a colored base coat for wooden flooring and for re-coating darkened wood surfaces. Highly recommended for furniture and children’s toys.

Suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and areas exposed to high humidity. Micro-porous, breathable finish. Does not crack, peel or flake. Saliva-resistant and sweat-proof and suitable for children's toys. Resistant to common liquid such as water, juice, tea, cola and wine. Made in Germany - Conforms to strict German Norms.

Information	Approx. coverage: 24 m²/L with one coat. No. of Coats: 1 coat (Transparent Color), 2 coats (Intensive Color). Mainly used as base coat but can be used as a top coat but not for flooring. Application temperature: +5 to 35 °C. Drying time: Generally 12 hrs but for flooring it must be 24 hrs. Storage: 5 years & longer.

How to Apply Wood Wax Finish

Finished surface in 1-2 days, 1-2 coats

Sand (P120/180)

Remove Dust

Stir Well

Apply thinly

Let it Dry

– Normal Climatic Conditions –

Fine Sanding (P400)

– Optional –

Second Coat

– Intensive color: repeat Steps 2 to 5 –
– Transparent color: Clear Polyx Oil –

Tips:

First coat on the raw, sanded wood approx. 35 ml/m².
Wet coating can be corrected up to 30min.
As a colored base coat for flooring: drying time is approx. 24 hrs.
For light stain effect: within 20 minutes after the application, wipe with a cloth/white pad.
2 coats can be applied on wooden furniture, doors and joinery, but only one coat on flooring. As a second coat, Polyx Oil Clear or White 3040 (for floors with white base coat) is recommended.
Apply max. one coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers with a cloth.
For exotic hardwoods Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin recommended.
