Osmo Polyx Oil Effect Gold/Silver

Unique and special Hardwax Oil with Metallic Effect which contains either gold or silver tiny particles. Osmo Polyx Oil Effect Gold/Silver is optimal for the decorative surface finishing of dark wooden flooring (Smoked Oak, Walnut etc.) or dark stained wooden flooring, such as solid wood, plank and strip flooring, as well as dark furniture surfaces.
An effect-producing, transparent and satin wood finish that combines the advantages of natural oils and waxes in one product. Thanks to the added pigments, it highlights wood grains with modern unique metallic color effects.

How to Apply Polyx Oil Effect Gold/Silver

On Dark Color Wood Species

Finished surface in 2 days, 2 coats

Sand (P120/180)

Remove Dust

Stir Well

Apply thinly

Let it Dry

– Normal Climatic Conditions –

Fine Sanding (P400)

– Optional –

Second Coat

– Clear Polyx Oil –

On Light Color Wood Species

Finished surface in 3 days, 3 coats

Sand (P120/180)

Remove Dust

Stir Well

Apply thinly

Spread Evenly

– with a Single Disc Machine –

Let it Dry

– Normal Climatic Conditions –

Fine Sanding (P400)

– Optional –

Second Coat

– Repeat Steps 2 to 4 –
– with Polyx Oil Gold/Silver –

Let it Dry

– Normal Climatic Conditions –

Third Coat

– Repeat Steps 2 to 4 –

Tips:

One Coat Polyx Oil Effect Gold/Silver must be followed by a coat of clear Polyx Oil.
For light color wood species, Osmo Wood Wax Finish Black 3169 should be applied first.
First coat on the raw, sanded wood approx. 30 ml/m².
Wet coating can be corrected up to 30min.
Dried 1st coat can be smoothened with fine grain sandpaper P400/ Pad.
Recommended final sanding: flooring (P120-150) & furniture (P180-240).
In bathroom/kitchens, base coat of Osmo Wood Protector recommended.
After 2-3 weeks,fully cured & reached its' final liquid & wear resistant.
